Setting Up on a Website Browser

1. Visit the ParentSquare website.
2. Under the Register section, simply enter the email or cell phone number you shared with your child’s school.
3. Click Get Started.
   • If you are still having trouble signing in, contact the school's main office. Your contact email or phone number may be incorrect in our system. The school's main office staff can update your contact information.
4. Follow the prompts to confirm your account and you're all set!

Using the Mobile App

1. Download the ParentSquare app for your iOS or Android device.
2. Open the app and enter the email address or phone number associated with your school account.
3. Tap Continue.

4. Follow the easy steps to confirm your children and contact details.

Families can log into the ParentSquare website or download the app using the email address or cell phone number that they provided to their child’s school. ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and delivery method for each school.

• The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time.
• The Digest setting will send all posts for the day in one single digest at the end of the day (recommended.)

Direct messages, alerts and time-sensitive posts will be delivered instantly.

• If you are using the web browser: On your home page, click your name, select “Manage Account,” then, “Notification Settings.”
• If you are using the mobile app: From your home screen, click the triple bar in the top left corner. Click on “Account,” then “Notifications.”

Contact the school's main office in order to change your phone number or email address. 

ParentSquare allows you to change your language setting so that you can receive posts in your preferred language.

Using a Website Browser

1. From Home, click the down arrow next to your name, in the upper right.
2. Select My Account. 

    

3. Click on Language Settings in the left hand sidebar.

    

4. Select your preferred language from the drop down menu and click Save.

    

Using the Mobile App

1. From Home, tap the triple bars in the upper right.

    

2. Select Account, then Preferences

    

3. From the Preferences screen select Language.
4. Choose your preferred language. You will receive all post messages in your preferred language.

    

Yes. All parents and/or guardians are automatically registered to receive notifications through ParentSquare when they enroll their student.

Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive email and text notifications. They will have limited access to other ParentSquare features, like form completion and parent-teacher conferences.

• Appreciate posts: Click Appreciate in your email/app or website to thank a teacher or staff member for a post.
• Comment or reply: Click Comment in app or website to privately ask a question about the post to your teacher or school.
• Get photos & files: Click Photos & Files in the sidebar to access pictures, forms, and documents that have been shared with you.
• Find people: Click Directory in the sidebar to find contact information for school staff.
• Get in touch: Click Messages in the sidebar to privately get in touch with staff.
• Participate: To RSVP for upcoming events or sign-up for parent-teacher conferences, select the ‘More’ menu at the bottom right of the app. If you’re using the website, select ‘Sign Ups & RSVPs’ in the sidebar to see available opportunities. 
• Sync your calendar: Select ‘Events’ from the bottom of the screen in the app and then ‘Subscribe’ to sync the district, school, classroom or group calendar to your phone’s calendar. 

1. Check your spam folder to see if any ParentSquare messages ended up there, and mark them as “Not Spam.” 
2. Add donotreply@parentsquare.com to your email contacts so your server recognizes our messages. 
3. If you still are not receiving emails, please contact support@parentsquare.com so they can assist you.

To update your email address or phone number, parents/guardians should contact the school's main office. You cannot update your contact information directly in ParentSquare.

You may have accidentally blocked text messages from ParentSquare from your phone.

• Text “START” to 66458 to re-enable your text messages.
• If the problem continues, contact your school's main office for assistance.

If you blocked texts because you received too many of them, you can instead adjust your notification settings. Select "off" or "digest."

If you and your spouse/co-parent share an email address, only one of you will be able to log in to ParentSquare using that email address. The other person should use their cell phone number to log on.

We recommend that each parent/guardian have their own cell phone or email for emergency situations. You can update your contact information through the school's main office.

Sometimes, non-parents get messages from a school using ParentSquare.

• ParentSquare synchronizes with each school’s internal student information database. It contains contact details submitted by families (on forms, during enrollment, etc.)
• Most likely, a parent or staff member made a typo, and there is incorrect contact data for a parent or student that matches an actual phone number or email belonging to someone else.
• Only the school or district is authorized to update contact details to maintain security and protect student privacy.

What to do:

• To unsubscribe from text, text STOP to the number sending you the texts. You can also click to unsubscribe from emails. However, the school or district will still have you in their system and include you in urgent notifications through ParentSquare.
• To stop receiving all notifications, please contact the school/district that is sending you messages to have them remove your contact details from their database.
