GoGuardian Parent

GoGuardian is provided by DDOE to help districts filter content and detect student self-harm on district-issued Chromebooks. 

Through the GoGuardian Parent App, guardians have direct access to their student's online activity reports and filtering controls while students are at home and using district issued Chromebooks.

• Parents can view websites that their students access during all hours of the day. It is important to remember that your students will still be blocked by the district's filtering policies, even outside of school hours when using their district-issued Chromebook. However, parent initiated content filtering and pausing of the internet using the GoGuardian Parent App only occurs outside of school hours.
• GoGuardian Parent App accounts are set up using the parent email addresses that are on file with the school office. Make sure that your email address is updated with the school office.

GoGuardian Parent App Features:

• Summary: The summary section provides an at-a-glance overview of what your student has been doing inside and outside of school hours. 
• Teacher Interventions: Guardians can view how many times a teacher locked or unlocked your student's screen, or opened and closed tabs for them.
• Website Filtering: Allows guardians to block students from accessing specific websites outside of school hours.
• Internet Pausing: Allows guardians to pause internet access on demand or schedule internet pausing for students outside of school hours.

Note: It may take up to 2 minutes for student browsing to be affected by GoGuardian Parent App filtering once a change is made. Filtering may not appear to be effective if a child stays on a webpage for an extended period without navigating to a different page of the site. The site will be blocked upon subsequent navigation.
