Performance Matters

Performance Matters

Schoology and Performance Matters offer an integration that allows instructors to access, preview, and add Performance Matters assessments to their Schoology courses. Students can access and take these assessments just as easily as they access course assessments directly within Schoology. The integration also supports grade passback to the Schoology gradebook which could then passback to the Infinite Campus gradebook.

Troubleshooting Help

A menu of PowerSchool Applications featuring "Performance Matters" and "Schoology Learning" is displayed in the foreground, with a red arrow pointing to a grid icon in the background.
How do teachers access Performance Matters?
  • Teachers can locate Performance Matters in ClassLink.
  • Teachers can also locate Performance Matters inside Schoology. Click the waffle button in the top right hand corner of the screen and select Performance Matters.
What should students do when they need to "pause" the test?
  • If a student needs to pause the test because they are leaving early, going to the bathroom, etc. the student should log out of Schoology completely. This will move the student from In Progress to Locked. Then teacher needs to unlock the test for the student by moving them back to In Progress under OLA Student Status.
  • The teacher can also move the student from In Progress to Locked in Performance Matters using OLA Student Status.
I get this error when I try to add a Performance Matters Common Assessment into Schoology, "Unexpected error - Please try again in a few minutes" - what should I do?
  • If you get this error message in Schoology, put in a ticket with the Red Clay help desk using Incident iQ. In the ticket, write that you do not have a Performance Matters account and therefore your Schoology account is not linked to Performance Matters.

What value should I put in the Total Points box in Schoology if I want to add the Performance Matters Assessment to my Schoology Gradebook?
