Screencasting Tools
A screencast is a digital video recording of your computer screen and usually includes audio narration. Choose one of the Chrome extensions below to help you make your screencast video:
- Screencastify extension for Chrome: Use Screencastify to easily record, edit, and share videos. Sign up with your Red Clay Google account. 5 minute recording limit for screencasts. Share your videos in Schoology for students to view through the link or embedding.
- Loom extension for Chrome: Loom Pro is now free for teachers and students. Sign up with your Red Clay Google account. Educators and students are able to create unlimited videos. There is no recording limit for the length of the videos that are created. Share your video on Schoology for students to view.
- Use Zoom to create a video or screencast: Teachers can record a video in Zoom by themselves without needing particpants or conducting a "formal" meeting.
