Red Clay Resident Teachers Gain Mentorship From District Administration
Dr. Stephanie Armstrong organized a workshop for Red Clay district administration to mentor resident teachers.
For nearly ten years, Red Clay has participated with local universities to provide yearlong residency placements for teacher candidates. These residencies prepare pre-service educators for teaching positions in the district.
The yearlong internship pairs the novice educators with an experienced mentor teacher for the entire school year and prepares the residents to be fully prepared to lead a classroom.
