Red Clay Eighth Graders Open Lending Library for Community

Hats off to Red Clay teacher Alisha Emerson and her Alexis I. du Pont Middle School eighth-graders who opened a Little Free Library on campus today!

“My students wanted to make sure people in our community had access to great books, so we decided to build a lending library as a class project,” Emerson explained. “The students took charge of every phase of the project, from design to construction to implementation—they deserve all the credit!”
