Red Clay Expands Meal Service During Remote Learning

Red Clay's meal service is back and better than ever!

To ensure that students continue to have access to nutritious meals while schools are closed, the Red Clay Cafe will provide meals free of charge to all students 18 years and under on Tuesdays and Thursdays this fall.

"We are committed to providing healthy meals whether our students are learning online or in the school building," said Jessica Terranova, Manager of Nutrition Services. "We learned so much from last spring's rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this fall we're excited to step things up and reach even more children across the community."

More Locations and Pick-Up Times

This fall, we've expanded our meal service to make it easier for more families to pick up meals when and where it is convenient for them.

Meals can be picked up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at a number of locations and a various times throughout the day.

When schools reopen their doors for in-person learning, the district will share an updated schedule for meal service.

Pick Up Meals During the Day or After Work

During the day, families can pick up meals at any of our 25 participating schools from 11 AM to 1 PM. They can also pick up meals from one of our 16 community locations, where meals will be served from 11 AM to 11:45 AM or 12 PM to 12:45 PM.

Our new evening meal service allows families to pick up meals from 4 PM to 6 PM at 9 participating schools.
