Dear Families,

The Wilmington Learning Collaborative (WLC)  is a voluntary network of schools in Wilmington across multiple school districts.  In October 2022, the Red Clay school board voted to become part of the WLC along with the Brandywine and Christina School District.  The Collaborative’s goal is to create consistency for students, empower educators, school leaders, and communities, and improve outcomes for students in City of Wilmington Schools.  You can click here to learn more about the Wilmington Learning Collaborative.

The first year of this initiative is a planning year. One of the most important parts of the planning year is forming the governing council for the Wilmington Learning Collaborative(WLC). Warner and other schools/districts, in the WLC,  are in the process of identifying a  parent/guardian and a high school student to represent on the WLC Governing Council. This is a voluntary role.  

If you are a parent/guardian who has experience contributing to Warner mission, involvement with the community and can engage in dialogue and decision making on various educational, community related and budgetary matters, please consider completing an application of interest. Send the completed application to your Principal by Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

The Parent Council Interest Application is due on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. You can email the application to your principal or bring it directly to the main office of your student’s school. We are looking forward to hearing from interested Warner parents/guardian to serve on the WLC Governing Council.

The Governing Council of the Wilmington Learning Collaborative will be made up of several stakeholders, one being a parent or legal guardian of a child at one of the WLC schools from each participating district.  If you are a parent Please complete the attached application and submit it to your building principal if you are interested in being on the WLC governing council.
