Chromebook Drop Off Procedures.docx

Good evening Skyline families, this is Mr. Rumford the Principal of Skyline Middle School with some important announcements.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.

This is week 9 of our remote learning plan.  Remote learning will continue according to our schedule that is posted on our website.   Remote learning will end on June 8th.

Attached to the corresponding email will be our plan for returning Chromebooks, musical instruments, and library books.  Students will also be allowed to clean out their lockers at that time.  The dates will be June 9th for 8th graders, June 10th for 7th graders and June 11th for 6th graders.  June 12th will be held at the front steps of Warner Elementary for families who cannot get to Skyline.  It is very import that you read the directions as they are very specific to the times and for adhering to safety guidelines.  8th graders will be able to pick up their end of the year T-Shirts and all students will be able to pick up their pre-ordered yearbooks at the time of the check out.  No yearbooks will be sold at Skyline.  The plan will also be posted on our website.

We have just completed a video to celebrate our 8th graders with a Moving Up Ceremony.  This will be available for viewing on June 3rd.

Our last SSA meeting of the year will take place virtually using ZOOM this Thursday, May 28th.  At this meeting we will provide information about elections for the 20-12 SSA board positions—— if anyone would like to be considered, please email the SSA @ skylinessa@yahoo.com.  Positions include: Co- President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  You will also have the opportunity to hear from Skyline’s newly appointed principal, Ms. Noreen Lasorsa.

The SSA meeting agenda, as well as the ZOOM link information, will be available by May 26th and posted on Skyline’s website.

If you have any questions at all, please email me at frank.rumford@redclay.k12.de.us

Please remember to follow the social distancing guidelines, wearing a mask in public and other precautions like staying home.  These are the best ways to keep you and your families safe.

Thank you and have a good evening.
