School messenger Saturday 4.18.20

Good morning Skyline families, this is Mr. Rumford, the Principal of Skyline Middle School with some important announcements.

I hope everyone is doing well through these very tough times.  Next week will be week 4 of our remote learning plan.  I want to thank the fabulous teachers at Skyline for all the work they are doing to reach as many of our students as possible and for providing their students with activities and assignments that are designed to prevent learning loss.

ZOOM is a new term in education, and more than half of our teachers are meeting with their students through this technology.  One teacher  took a group of students on a virtual field trip on Wednesday and another staff member is running a weekly virtual physical fitness program for staff and students.  If you are participating in ZOOM lessons, I want to remind parents and students that appropriate behavior for a school activitiy is the expectation.

Next week we will be holding a Virtual Spirit Week. The link below is the schedule of what the students and staff will be doing next week to show their Jaguar Spirit.  We are asking students to send photos and videos of their school spirit to Instagram @skylinejags or by email to  I think this will be a fun way to connect to everyone again and I hope everyone will participate.  Skyline Virtual Spirit Week (1).jpg .
