McKean Robotics Team takes 2nd place at World Competitions

Congratulations to Highlanders Tara Millis and Angelica Sandoval and the entire Miracles of Engineering (MOE 365) Robotics team for winning second place in the Darwin Division at the FIRST Robotics World Championships.

The team has been hard at work since October, culminating in a four-day battle with other teams from across the world in Detroit, Michigan. During the event, Angelica focused her efforts in helping the MOE 365 media team while Tara Milis served as a team ambassador. Together the team competed in the Number 1 Seed Alliance and made it all the way to a tie-breaker round before they met their match.

As MOE 365 is a legacy team, members also were invited to participate in the Hall of Fame lunch with the legendary Woodie Flowers (Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and longtime participant in the design of the FIRST Robotics Competition game). Members also attended Robot Prom.

It’s a great day to be a Highlander and a MOE Robotics fan!
