This past Friday, 4th and 5th Grade had their first Bilingual Spotlight, featuring Lewis’ very own, Mr. King! Mr. King shared a heartwarming testimony about how he began learning Spanish at a young age accidentally, how it allowed him to connect with people from different walks of life, how it has benefitted his and his family’s lives as a Black man–in everyday life and during travel, and how it divinely led him to carry out his purpose as both a classically trained musician and educator as the beloved music teacher at our bilingual school. Our students were so engaged and did not want our time together to end!
