October News

October saw the return of an old favorite at Heritage Elementary.  Reading Basketball Association (RBA), a popular program combining reading and basketball, academics and athletics, is in its fourth season.  Players from the eight team league are drawn from the fourth and fifth grade student population at the school. RBA is popular with parents, staff, and students and helps to foster a strong sense of community at the school as all come together to support the student/players.  If you happen to be in the neighborhood Tuesdays or Thursdays this fall, stop by to hear Assistant Principal, Robert (Bob) Farr, read poetry and teach zone defense to a bunch of happy, eager kids.
