Daily Announcements 2023-2024

Reminder: Dress Code is in effect and the only sweatpants permitted are HB sweatpants. Shoes must have a closed back, no slipper styles or flip-flops are permitted. Cell Phones must be off and away, either in a student's locker or in their backpack while in school. Students are reminded that any notes must be brought to the office first thing in the morning.

Car Line Dismissal: Students are reminded that they should only walk as far as the sidewalk takes them. No student should walk past the trash/recycling receptacles located near the loading dock to enter a parent's car.

All students have received their ID badges and are required to wear them at all times. 

Please join us tonight, Tues., April 16 at 7pm in the Library for our April PTA meeting.

Strings students will meet in the Auditorium this morning, Tues., April 16.

Track: Reminder that on Mon. and Tues., April 15 & 16, only those students on the A-Team will stay after for practice. A few other students may be invited to join practice in preparation for our meet on Wednesday. All team members will stay for practice on Thurs., April 18. 

Odyssey of the Mind: Congratulations to our OM teams who qualified for Worlds in Iowa next month! They came in 1st Place on Problem 2 and 2nd Place on Problem 3 at the state finals on Saturday. 

Baseball: Team Faulkner beat Team Rahmer 9-4 yesterday in the Blue/Grey game. Mr. Daley hit a triple and double to lead Team Faulkner along with hits from 6th graders Matt P. and Jake H. The Gold team will practice today, Tues., April 16, there is a game on Wednesday and full squad practice on Thur., April 18. 

All TSA members planning to go to Nationals in Orlando must attend practice after school on Wed., April 17.

Softball: The Warrior team beat Newark Charter yesterday 21-13. Lanie started the game pitching for the Warriors and Jay finished the game. Sophia, Hayden and Bailey had two hits apiece while Tess, Lanie, Eliza, Alexis and Sam each had one. 

Volleyball: The team was victorious over the AI Middle Tigers yesterday! Awesome serving from Luke and D.C. and great defense and spikes from Evan and Brad. We will practice today and our next game is Wednesday. 

NJHS/B+: Congratulations to Jake, Yifan, Danika and Hadley for sending out B+ emails and texts and earning 50 PBIS points. Students are reminded to send out the B+ message and link to spread the word! More information can be found on Schoology and the posters near the bus lot and car rider circle. 

**Athletes are reminded that it is your responsibility to come to the Main Office at the end of the day to pick up any gear that has been dropped off. We will not call you.**
