Daily Announcements 2023-2024

Reminder: Dress Code is in effect. Cell Phones must be off and either in a student's locker or in their backpack while in school. Students are reminded that any notes must be brought to the office first thing in the morning.

Dress Code: The only sweat pants students may wear to school are HB sweatpants.

Car Line Dismissal: Students are reminded that they should only walk as far as the sidewalk takes them. No student should walk past the trash/recycling receptacles located near the loading dock to enter a parent's car.

All students have received their ID badges and are required to wear them at all times.

 

 

FCCLA: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization. Activities include Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Interior Design and Repurpose and Design. Interested students should see Mr. Brady in Room #125 for more information. 

Field Hockey:Congratulations to the Field Hockey team on their 6-0 win against Newark Charter yesterday! It was a great team effort and our 7th graders proved that they belong on the field. Way to go Sarah on a hat trick with 3 goals and to 7th graders Sophia and Avery for their first goals of the season! 

Soccer: HB Soccer remains undefeated after a 2-2 tie against Caravel yesterday. The team plays at Skyline on Monday. 

Volleyball: The girls volleyball team took down Springer Middle 2-0 yesterday! Excellent job by everyone, especially Emma L. who served 10 straight points/aces! Ladies take on Skyline on Monday at Skyline. Go Warriors!

Field Hockey: Congratulations to the field hockey team on their 2-0 win against Springer yesterday. Shout out to our defensive team of Avery, Minka, Caroline, Eva and goalie Fletch for an amazing game!

Athletes are reminded that it is their responsibility to come to the Main Office to check if their gear has been dropped off. We will not call you out of class.

BPA: The first BPA meeting will be held on Tues., Oct. 3 after school. Students will receive an email with details. Today is the last day to sign up for BPA, interested students should see Mr. Testa in Room #119.

Students from The Charter School of Wilmington are collecting new and gently used clothing to donate to Phoenix Used Clothing. There are collection bins around the building if anyone wishes to donate. 

Beginning today, Americans will observe National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. 

The September dress-down challenge will be based on the grade level with the highest attendance percentage and the highest PTA membership percentage.
