Bookended by a doubleheader victory over Aspira Academy, four Dickinson alums and a longtime staff, coach, and administrator was inducted into the Dickinson Hall of Fame. The inductees were: 

Stephen Biddle (class of ’77)—earned his Bachelor’s, Masters, and PhD from Harvard University and has taught International Relations at prestigious universities such as George Washington University, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Harvard, and Columbia University (currently). He served on the Department of Defense’s Policy Board with General David Petraeus in Baghdad in 2007 and on General Stanley McChrystal’s Initial Strategic Assessment team in Kabul in 2009; and has been published numerous times.

Dan Candeloro (class of ’82)—football player, attended Delaware State as a Health & Phys Ed major. He was part of two MEAC conference winning teams and voted to the 50^th anniversary all-MEAC team as a defensive linemen. He is currently a teacher at Caesar Rodney and led the girls’ tennis team to an undefeated season and state title in 2023.

Adrian Chinnery (class of ’12)—former catcher on the baseball team, Adrian played baseball at the U.S. Naval Academy, earning multiple All-Patriot League distinctions and leading Navy to a College World Series berth his junior year. He placed second in the nation in voting for the NCAA Senior Award his junior year. Chinnery is currently an Air Force captain and teaches young pilots how to fly the MQ-9.

Spencer Henry—beyond his track accomplishments in high school (Howard) and college (Morgan State University), taught History, coached cross country and track & field, served briefly as athletic director and assistant principal, and was the principal at Dickinson for nearly 30 years. His track teams, between his stint at Wilmington High School and Dickinson, won four state championships.

Sue Ann Leighty (class of ’77)—as a realtor and Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Salem County, NJ, Leighty has literally helped rebuild communities in southern NJ. Her work was featured in the PBS docuseries “21” which focused on a Recyclable Ramp Program, which has allowed 110 families to date remain in their homes. Among the numerous awards she has received: 2005 Presidential Award for Volunteerism, 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award from Salem Community College, 2011 Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award, 2012 & 2019 Elk of the Year, and 2023 Garden State Council Boys Scouts of American Woman of the Year.
