40 years after they walked out of the hallowed halls of John Dickinson High School, over 30 members of the class of 1977 returned to the place they called home during their high school careers. The attendees included several surviving family members of longtime Assistant Principal Harry Smith, who passed away last November and former Science teacher Richard Sanger. The class of '77 was led through the building by fellow alumnus David Lee (class of 1990), who walked them through many new features of the school like the Middle Years Programme and Ninth Grade Academy. Throughout the tour, attendees stopped to reminisce about the fond memories they made in different locations in the building; and for others, it was their first time seeing the fabled bomb shelter and the larger-than-life pipe organ. While this was just the start of the day's reunion activities, it was a emotional precursor as they began their walk through memory lane.
