Brandywine Springs Gives Back
Every Year the BSS Service Club sets up a ‘Giving Tree.’ Students from grades Kindergarten through 8th come together along with parents, teachers, past Bobcats and future Bobcats, to create the stars that they all hang on the tree.
These stars have a small wish… a holiday wish from someone much less fortunate that all of us. BSS families and students can then chose a star and make a holiday wish come true. This is a time honored tradition at BSS and it is such a wonderful sight to see young students giving their time to help others in need.
Another annual event at Brandywine Springs is ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Every year the children, teachers and families of the Service Club volunteer to ring the bell to help raise money to support the Salvation Army and all the wonderful things it does for those less fortunate than us. We choose a week to ring and spend three hours each night ringing the bell. This event has been a tradition for the past eleven years and hopefully will continue on. All of the participants enjoy this event immensely and people love seeing children ringing the bell. A big thanks to all who gave their time to make this happen.
