    Mr. Pete Metrinko, Principal

     


    Ms Monique Taylor-Gibbs, Assistant Principal

    Ms TG (as she is affectionately known) was born in raised in Wilmington, Delaware.  She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary ducation from the University of Delaware in 2000.  She also earned her Master’s Degree in School Leadership at Wilmington University, graduating in 2012.  Mrs. TG has spent her entire career in education with the Red Clay School District, working at Warner Elementary and A.I. Middle School.  She is also a volunteer for a nationally ranked AAU Track and Field team out of West End Neighborhood House.  Mrs. TG is ecstatic to begin her journey as an Assistant Principal here at Skyline Middle School!  


    Mr. Mark VanKerkhoven, Assistant Principal

    Mr. VanKerkhoven was born in Wilmington Delaware and raised as a member of the Red Clay School District community where he attended grade school at Warner Elementary along with Forrest Oak Elementary and middle school at Stanton. He graduated from Saint Mark’s High School in 1999. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management (2004) as well as a Master Degree in Education (2012) from Wilmington University. He worked in Christina School District from 2010-2013 as a Business Education instructor and has been in Red Clay since 2014 working at A.I. High School and Thomas McKean High School in a multitude of roles. Alongside his work in education, he has coached many sports teams, worked to mentor young adults, and is an active member of his community. He is excited to be in his role as Assistant Principal for Skyline Middle School.

    Mrs. Antonella McGuigan, School Psychologist

    Mrs. McGuigan graduated in 2001 from Saint Joseph’s University with a BS degree in Psychology, then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) for two years and received a Masters degree in Clinical Health and Counseling Psychology.  She then attended Immaculata University for two years and received a School Psychology Certification.  She began working at Skyline in 2005. She enjoys working with the Skyline students, families, and staff!


    Ms Emily Klein, School Psychologist

    Ms Klein received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and her Master’s degree and Specialist Certificate in School Psychology from the University of Delaware. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Delaware. She has been a school psychologist since 2005, and has been an adjunct instructor in the University of Delaware’s School Psychology graduate program since 2008. She is the President-Elect of the Delaware Association of School Psychologists. She came to Skyline in 2017, and enjoys working with Skyline students, families, and staff!


    Ms Kim Scarola, Educational Diagnostician

    Ms Scarola (formerly Ms Snyder) graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1991 with her BS degree in special education.  She has been a special education teacher in Red Clay since the fall of 1991.  She attended the Writing Institute at Columbia University in NYC the summer of 2003.  She also received a reading certificate from the University of Delaware. She enjoys working with the Skyline families and students.
