String lessons scheduled for today have been cancelled. They will resume next week.
On Wednesday, the Conrad BPA team traveled to the Chase Center for their annual state competition. The Red Wolves had a great showing netting four, top-five awards including a 1st place finish in Business Communications. Great day team and congratulations
Conrad’s Spanish 4 classes will be partnering with The Pulsera Project. The Pulsera Project is a nonprofit organization that sells bracelets in order to raise money to help educate people in Central America. This organization helps provide work opportunities, medical aid, university scholarships, housing programs, and secondary education for nearly 200 people in Nicaragua and Guatemala. Most of these artisans actually make the handwoven bracelets, or “pulseras”, that we will be selling at our school lunches. Each pulsera costs about $5, and they will be sold at all lunches from March 2nd to March 13th. The bracelets come in all different colors and patterns, and the money goes to a great cause. Knowing that you’re helping someone get the education or help they need, for only $5? Who could turn that down?
Language affects attitudes. Attitudes impact actions. Make your pledge to choose respectful actions, attitudes, and language. Get involved today by signing our Spread the Word pledge banner at lunch and purchase your bracelet to dress down next Friday. The dress down date has been changed to Friday, March 6th due to SAT Day. Bracelets are only $2 and you’ll be supporting Special Olympics Delaware.
Come out and support the National Honor Society at the seventh annual dodgeball tournament on March 5th from 6-8 pm in the gym. There will be games, raffles, and prizes! It costs $5 to play and $2 dollars for spectators. To play, pick up a sign-up sheet at lunch or outside of Ms. McDonald’s door room #204. Teams must be 6-8 players.
Attention middle school athletes: if you are interested in joining middle school track please stop by room 106 and grab a packet that is outside of the classroom door.
Congratulations to the Conrad swimmers who have advanced to States tomorrow! Swim well!
