    What Is a PTO?

    • A Group of Parents/Guardians/Grownups That Come Together with Teachers and Administrators to Support Their Child’s Learning Experience at School.

    Do I Have to Pay to Join?

    • No. PTO’s Have No Direct Dues Requirements. However, a Large Goal of the PTO Is to Help Fundraise for the School to Support Initiative, Special Events/Activities, and Teacher and Staff Morale.

    How Do I Know If I Qualify?

    • Any Grownup Can Join the PTO so Long As They Have a Child in Their Care That Is Actively Attending Marbrook Elementary School. You Don’t Need Anything Other than Your Own Time and Talents.

    Do I Need to Complete the Volunteer Forms?

    • Depends. You Do Not Need Volunteer Forms or Clearances to Attend the Meetings or to Participate in Activities; However, If You Decide to Volunteer with PTO-related Activities That Involve Working Directly with Children, You Will Need to Complete the Standard Volunteer Forms with the School Before Volunteering.

    What Is the Time Commitment?

    • That Is up to You! We Encourage You to Attend Monthly Meetings Whenever Possible to Stay up to Date with Our Planned Activities, but You Can Volunteer for As Much or As Little Time As You’d like.

    How Do I Get Started?

    • Contact Our PTO President with Your Interest to Join, or Show up to the Next Meeting! Meeting Dates and Times Are Shared in Marbrook’s Weekly Dolphin Splash Email and on the Marbrook Pto Facebook Page.

    ¿Qué es una PTO?

    Un grupo de padres/tutores/adultos que se reúnen con maestros y administradores para apoyar la experiencia educativa de sus hijos en la escuela.

    ¿Tengo que pagar para unirme?

    No. Las PTO no requieren cuotas directas. Sin embargo, un gran objetivo de la PTO es ayudar a recaudar fondos para la escuela para apoyar iniciativas, eventos/actividades especiales, y la moral de los maestros y el personal.

    ¿Cómo sé si califico?

    Cualquier adulto puede unirse a la PTO siempre y cuando tenga un niño a su cargo que esté asistiendo activamente a la Escuela Primaria Marbrook. No necesitas nada más que tu tiempo y tus talentos.

    ¿Necesito completar los formularios de voluntariado?

    Depende. No necesitas formularios de voluntariado ni verificaciones para asistir a las reuniones o participar en actividades; sin embargo, si decides ser voluntario en actividades relacionadas con la PTO que involucren trabajar directamente con los niños, necesitarás completar los formularios estándar de voluntariado con la escuela antes de hacerlo.

    ¿Cuál es el compromiso de tiempo?

    ¡Eso depende de ti! Te animamos a asistir a las reuniones mensuales siempre que sea posible para mantenerte al tanto de nuestras actividades planificadas, pero puedes ser voluntario durante el tiempo que desees, ya sea mucho o poco.

    ¿Cómo empiezo?

    Contacta a nuestra presidenta de PTO para expresar tu interés en unirte, ¡o simplemente asiste a la próxima reunión! Las fechas y horarios de las reuniones se comparten en el boletín semanal Dolphin Splash de Marbrook y en la página de Facebook de Marbrook PTO.
