Student Retrieval of Items and Chromebook Return

Attached is a letter that explains AIMS' plan for students to retrieve their personal belongings from their lockers.  Students are also to bring and return their chromebooks and any other school issued items such as instruments, textbooks, calculators, library books, etc..  In order to ensure the health and safety of our AIMS community many precautions are in place.  The retrieval process will take place from June 8-10th.  Students are assigned a specific day and time frame in which they may enter the building with one parent and/or guardian and retrieve their personal belongings from their lockers.  Please make sure your child knows their assigned locker number and combination.  Classrooms will not be accessible however any items that are found in classrooms will be placed on a designated table located on each grade level floor.

*Any items not retrieved by July 1, 2020 will be discarded.

AVID:  Current 6th and 7th Grade Students

You should have received an email from Mr. Quig, grade 7, and Ms. LaRosa, grade 6, today regarding information on the AVID elective Class for next year.  This year there is a link to the online application. If you are a 7th grader and you are currently in the AVID elective class you must still fill out the online application.  There is an English and Spanish version of the application and information on AVID.

    Dear JDG Parent/Guardian:

As the JDG teacher at A. I. DuPont Middle School, I enjoyed teaching your child in the JDG Program this school year.  The 2019-2020 school year is coming to a close, and I want to let you know that I am still here and available to you and your family to assist in any way possible.

The mission of Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG) is to enable students to achieve academic, career, personal and social success. Our organization is committed to making this happen year-round. The vision for this year’s summer outreach is a beautiful movement titled JDG Cares. It is important for you and your family to know that JDG is here, we care to connect and work to get the resources you need to push through this trying time.  So don’t be surprised, I may call from time to time to check in with you and your family during the summer.  It’s the mission behind my position.

Please share your voice by completing the JDG Cares Information Survey (it takes one minute to complete).
