Autism Services
Red Clay Consolidated School District provides a continuum of services for students with an educational classification of Autism.
The service delivery model provides interventions, instructional strategies and other supports targeting the unique learning characteristics of students with an educational classification of Autism. These interventions target the fundamental educational impacts experienced by learners with Autism including social reciprocity and communication, as well as restrictive, repetitive behaviors and routines. The service delivery model encompasses practices that have been established as evidence-based utilizing strategies derived from applied behavior analysis. Supports and services in place are designed, implemented and/or monitored by specialized professionals.
Red Clay Consolidated School District Service delivery model supports students in an inclusive school environment. Our goal is for students to learn and participate in school activities alongside peers within their neighborhood school. Students are provided services in two different models, itinerant and building based Autism Support.
