School Safety
At Red Clay, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and school communities are our highest priorities. We are committed to creating secure, supportive learning environments where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. Through proactive safety measures, strong community partnerships, and dedicated personnel, we work every day to protect our schools.
The Office of School Safety is staffed by commissioned State of Delaware Constables and Delaware State Troopers contracted to the District who serve as School Resource Officers.
In addition to responding to daily calls for service from our schools, we provide many other services to Red Clay students, staff, and the broader community:
- Respond to emergencies and investigate reports of crimes that occur on school properties.
- Manage the District Emergency Response Team and train Incident Response Teams at schools.
- Provide school safety and internet safety classes for students of all grade levels and parents/guardians during PTA and PTO workshops.
