Media Relations

Members of the Media

Red Clay values open and timely communication with our community, including members of the press. All media inquiries, interview requests, and information needs should be directed to the Office of Communications. We’re here to provide accurate, timely updates and help connect you with the appropriate resources.

To request information, schedule an interview, or coordinate coverage of a Red Clay event, please contact Alva Mobley, Chief Communications Officer, at (302) 552-3716 or by email: alveretta.mobley@redclay.k12.de.us

To protect the privacy and safety of our students and staff, all media visits must be scheduled in advance and approved by the building principal and the Office of Communications. Media representatives must be escorted at all times while on school property. Student interviews or photos require written parent/guardian consent.

Red Clay Staff

Planning an exciting event? Launching a new program? We’d love to help share your story!

If you’d like media coverage or help promoting your school’s activities, please contact our Communications Office as early as possible, ideally at least three weeks in advance. We can assist with press releases, social media, and connecting with local media outlets.

Media Guidelines

  • All media inquiries must go through the Communications Office.
  • Staff should not speak to the press on behalf of the district without prior approval.
  • Media access to students requires district and parent/guardian permission.
  • Press must be escorted by staff while on school grounds.
  • Coverage of athletic events does not require prior approval, provided the media are attending solely for that event.
