Behavioral Health Professional of the Year

Behavioral Health Professional of the Year
Please join us in celebrating Jaclyn Durant, Richey Elementary’s dedicated school social worker, who was just named the 2025 Delaware Behavioral Health Professional of the Year! Governor Matt Meyer and Secretary of Education Cindy Marten made the announcement during a statewide banquet honoring top behavioral health professionals from across the state. Ms. Durant is known for her trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to student wellness and emotional regulation. From creating bilingual morning check-ins to designing classroom regulation stations, her work is helping students thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically. “Jaclyn is the heart of our school community,” said Principal Gregg Johnson. “Her work is rooted in care, equity and dignity.” We are #RemarkableRedClay proud of you, Ms. Durant! Thank you for being a shining example of what it means to support the whole child.
