The Community Financial Review Committee (CFRC) assists the school board with financial oversight and ensures community involvement in the district's budgetary processes. For public notices, please click HERE.

We have an exciting opportunity for those passionate about our district's financial oversight and accountability. There are vacant positions on the Community Financial Review Committee, and we invite you to consider joining our team. The Community Financial Review Committee is vital in ensuring transparency, fiscal responsibility, and the efficient use of resources within our school district. If you have an interest in financial matters and a commitment to the betterment of our community, this is your chance to get involved.

September, 2024: The CFRC has two open positions. We have posted for community members to fulfill these positions in accordance with the CFRC bylaws and Administrative Code: Title 14 : 700.

The applicants will be reviewed by a selection committee, in accordance with the CFRC bylaws, that consists of:

  • Board Member – Jose Matthews
  • RCEA Member – Amy Miroli

Two Community Members who are parents or non-district employees:

  • Jane Rattenni – past CFRC member, community member, parent
  • Chris Miller – current CFRC member, community member, parent

Membership will become effective upon selection by the selection committee and notification to the Superintendent and Red Clay Board of Education.

Goals

  • Monitor current spending, its relationship to the budget and the district’s overall financial health (this may include examination of historic, current and projected financial data)
  • Provide affirmation/verification of financial information to the school board, including the development of a monthly financial report
  • Provide a medium for the dissemination of financial information and materials to the community, relative to the district, and promote an understanding of the budget process
  • Provide consultation and guidance to the school board on matters relating to finance and perform other review and recommendation functions as directed by the school board
