How to Register a New Student

  • Red Clay will embrace a "safety first" approach to learning this fall. We will phase in our instructional model and all students will start the 2020-21 school year in a remote learning environment for the first six weeks. The first day of school is on Tuesday, September 8.

    How to Register Your Child for School

    Is your child ready to start the 2020-21 school year?

    Registering your child to attend a Red Clay school is easier than ever. 



    Under State law, the Red Clay Consolidated School District will enroll children who turn five years old on or before August 31 the year they will be attending kindergarten.

    Red Clay residents must register their children at their attendance zone school, Click here to find your attendance zone school or their accepted choice school.

    Red Clay is going paperless and contact-free!

    Using our new registration website,, you can register a new student from the comfort of your own home.  Families should complete the Delaware Student Health Form and Red Clay Health History Form - English • Spanish and be prepared to upload them as part of online registration. 


    Or, complete a registration packet and drop it off to our Choice Office.

    Once you’ve completed the registration packet, return it to the Red Clay Choice Office at 2914 Duncan Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. If you prefer to drop it off in person, you can place it in the red mailbox that is outside of the Red Clay Choice Office.



    Currently registered students do not need to be registered again.
