  • Supervisor of ELL

Carol started her career in Red Clay as a special education teacher at William C. Lewis Dual Language Elementary School. After 5 years of teaching, she became an educational diagnostician and then the Section 504 Coordinator for the district. In her current role as the Supervisor of English Language Learners, Carol’s main responsibility is to make sure that all students who speak a language other than English are assessed for language proficiency and receive the appropriate language development support districtwide.

Carol received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree from Wilmington University. She enjoys working with English Language Learners and their families to make sure that their language needs are being met and that they feel comfortable reaching out to the school with any questions or concerns.

Outside of work Carol loves to spend time with her husband Adam, daughter Charlotte, and dog Mingus in their quiet little house in the woods.
