    The Early Years Program is excited to announce a quick, easy way to access our Child Find Department. The purpose of Child Find is to connect families who may have concerns with their child’s development to possible resources to assist a child who may have some delays in development. 

    If you have concerns about your child, please feel free to access the Child Find Department by sending an inquiry through our central email address: childfind@redclay.k12.de.us. Once the email is received, you will be contacted in order to answer any questions and take any necessary next steps. 
     
    At a Glance
    • Child Find is a legal requirement that schools identify, locate and evaluate all children who have disabilities and who may be entitled to special education services.
    • The mandate is part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and pertains to children from birth through age 21.
