Ms. Noreen LaSorsa
Ms. LaSorsa graduated from St. Mark’s High School in 1980. Is a graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science degree and completed her master’s degree at Wilmington University. Ms.LaSorsa has worked in the Delaware Public School Education system for 30 years. She has been an instructor, assistant principal, principal, Chief Officer for Turnaround Schools for the Delaware Department of Education and most recently has taken on the role of Principal of Skyline Middle school after serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the Christina School District. Outside of her work as an educator, she volunteers at her local church, has coached various sports teams, is a mentor for future school leaders, is a member of the Goldey Beacom College Board of Trustees and most importantly has lived in the Skyline Community for over 20 years.
Mr. Pete Metrinko – Assistant Principal
A native of Long Island, NY Mr. Metrinko earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware in 2000. He furthered his education and earned his Masters in Educational Leadership in 2012 from Wilmington University. Mr. Metrinko has been in the Red Clay School District for 20 years as he taught first, fourth and fifth grades. Additionally, he has been involved in athletics as a coach for the University of Delaware, middle school coach and athletic director at both Skyline and Brandywine Springs. Mr. Metrinko also serves as the President of Piedmont Baseball, Softball and Buddy Ball. Mr. Metrinko is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with the students and staff within Skyline Middle School.
Ms. Monique Taylor-Gibbs - Assistant Principal
Mrs. TG (as she is affectionately known) was born in raised in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware in 2000. She also earned her Master’s Degree in School Leadership at Wilmington University, graduating in 2012. Mrs. TG has spent her entire career in education with the Red Clay School District, working at Warner Elementary and A.I. Middle School. She is also a volunteer for a nationally ranked AAU Track and Field team out of West End Neighborhood House. Mrs. TG is ecstatic to begin her journey as an Assistant Principal here at Skyline Middle School!
Mrs. Kristy Basara—School Counselor
Mrs. Basara received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Delaware and Master’s degree in School Counseling from Wilmington University. Mrs. Basara started at Skyline as a school counselor in 2005. She enjoys working with the Skyline Community.
Dr. Kelly Thompson - School Counselor
Mrs. Thompson obtained her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and her Master's degree in School Counseling from Wilmington University. She started working in the Red Clay School District in 2011. She is excited to be a counselor at Skyline, and work with the students, families, and staff.
Mrs. Nichole Cunningham — School Nurse
Apon graduating from Padua Academy in 1993, Mrs. Cunningham received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Immaculata University. She has spent most of her career at Christiana Care Health System with a background in Trauma and Pediatrics. She started at Skyline in 2019.
Mrs. Antonella McGuigan—School Psychologist
Mrs. McGuigan graduated in 2001 from Saint Joseph’s University with a BS degree in Psychology, then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) for two years and received a Masters degree in Clinical Health and Counseling Psychology. She then attended Immaculata University for two years and received a School Psychology Certification. She began working at Skyline in 2005. She enjoys working with the Skyline students, families, and staff!
Mrs. Emily Klein — School Psychologist
Ms. Klein received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and her Master’s degree and Specialist Certificate in School Psychology from the University of Delaware. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Delaware. She has been a school psychologist since 2005, and has been an adjunct instructor in the University of Delaware’s School Psychology graduate program since 2008. She came to Skyline in 2017, and enjoys working with Skyline students, families, and staff!
Ms Kim Snyder – Educational Diagnostician
Ms. Snyder graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1991 with her BS degree in special education. She has been a special education teacher in Red Clay since the fall of 1991. She attended the Writing Institute at Columbia University in NYC the summer of 2003. She also received a reading certificate from the University of Delaware. She enjoys working with the Skyline families and students.
Ms Donna Doyle – Educational Diagnostician
Ms Doyle has been in the education field since 1994. She received her teaching certification from Montclair State University and her Master's degree in Teaching and Learning from Wilmington University. Ms Doyle has taught all grades, PK-12th, prior to becoming a Special Education Coordinator. She has been in the Red Clay School District since 2016, most recently at Dickinson High School.
Mr. Aaron Wright - Student Advisor
Mr. Wright is a resident of Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from William Penn High School, received his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - English from The Pennsylvania State University, and earned his Masters of Education in School Leadership from Wilmington University. Mr. Wright taught 7th and 8th grade at Penn Wood Middle School in Darby, PA, was Dean of Students at Bayard Middle School, and an Assistant Principal at Southwest Leadership Academy Charter School in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Wright owns an improv theatre in Wilmington, DE and writes, directs, and produces stage plays. He is very excited to be a Jaguar, serving as Skyline Middle School's Student Advisor.
